Square One District’s first residential phase introduces two residential towers within the larger 130-acre redevelopment surrounding Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga. Developed by The Daniels Corporation and Oxford Properties, the phase brings approximately 1,000 new homes to the site through a condominium building and a separate purpose-built rental building.

Within that larger urban transformation, Mason Studio’s work focused on the scale of everyday life. The amenity interiors were designed as a collection of smaller, more familiar environments within the density of a major residential development, offering places to gather, work, exercise, play and spend time outside the private home.

The result is a series of shared spaces that bring a more personal and domestic scale to a much larger urban development.
